I was very sad to hear of Thelma's passing. I had just seen her recently. I will always remember going to the house at Curtis Corner as a 4H member. Learning how to knit, sew, and be part of a group made me a better person. Now that I am back in Leeds, I enjoyed being in the Leeds Historical group with her. I will miss her very much.

I am very sorry to hear that Thelma died. And to think I got such a huge hug of welcome from her when I was back in Leeds just 8 days ago. She was living, walking proof that you can be open minded for your whole life! She was a "forward through the ages" kind of person - kind of like a sailor in a sailboat. In a rowboat you always look back. In a sailboat you look out over the bow - lookin' where the wind blows. That's what I'll remember about her.
