The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Cloutier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: RE: Prayers for the Cloutier and Williams possible conversation with Jillian.

Prayers for the Cloutier family and the Williams family, daughters Jillian Williams and Elizabeth Cloutier. I understand Jillian recently had contact with her Dad. I just learned of his death from his neighbor. (thank you Nicole)

How I met Mike; it was a 'church thing':
I moved into my home in Litchfield Maine around Labor Day 2014. The first real snow storm we had that winter was significant! On a Sunday morning I left early for Sunday School at Clinton Baptist Church. I was met with a driveway deep in snow. I waded through snow up to the top of my legs carrying a snow shovel. Yes, not originally from Maine, I can shovel snow with the best of 'em. It was going to be a bit of a challenge to shovel the driveway enough to get my car out but I had just enough time to do that and make it to Sunday School on time. Here I am at the end of my driveway with my coat/tie/pants on shoveling. A neighbor (Mike) a tad up a dirt road across the way from my driveway had spotted me. He asked if he could help and plow me out. He got me out immediately. For the coming years he would plow me out...would charge a minimal fee. Mike was a master mechanic. I have run across a few people in my life who were as clever. He had to be at the pinnacle. Mike knew everything and anything about cars/motors/boats...
...Rarely have I met someone who had this skill. I believe he is/was one of those people who could pick up knowledge by osmosis...could just walk by something and figure it out...the truth! There had been times that I called Mike just to make sure he was OK...rarely did he pick up his cellphone....but we were in touch. A few weeks ago a person who used to be our neighbor stopped by. He said he knocked on Mike's door but got no answer. I decided to call Mike. I left a message. On September 5th his daughter living in Wayne Maine was concerned since she had not heard from Mike...she could not get in touch with him. She called the State Police and they did a 'wellness' visit and breaking in. Mike had passed away sitting in his chair. We will miss Mike...a very different individual, ...'different' in all the best ways. Mike was always willing to help out. Mike was very aware of what was going on in Litchfield and what was going on in our nation. I enjoyed very much our conversations. We will miss Mike!!
I may have an opportunity to speak to Jillian....the neighbor Nicole said Jillian might stop by for a visit. Sad...
