Obituary for Philip S. Tucker

Philip S.  Tucker
Lewiston – Philip S. Tucker, 87, a resident of Turner, passed away Friday, February 8th at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born September 15, 1931 in Sumner, the son of Philip A. Tucker and Clara Louise (Knight) Tucker. Philip was a graduate of Buckfield High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean War. On September 11, 1999 in Turner, he married Jean Delores Mason Tully. Phil worked as a truck driver throughout the years having driven for Greenwood Orchards, DeCoster’s, Shaw’s and the Town of Buckfield. Philip was a member of the Evening Star Masonic Lodge #0417 in Buckfield and Sampson Air Force Base Veterans Association. He was a train enthusiast, having visited many train yards throughout the United States, he enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles and was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his wife Jean Tucker of Turner, his son Mike Tucker of Buckfield, daughters, Cindy Stevens and husband Dana of Sumner and Jennifer Tucker and significant other, Brian of Sabattus, stepson, Kenneth Morris and wife Pam of Turner, stepdaughters, Patricia Bolduc and husband Rene of Greene, and Lorraine Camire and husband Daniel of Turner, grandchildren, Joshua Stevens and wife Amanda of Bradenton, FL., Joanna Champagne and husband Rob, Kristina Bernard and husband Tim, Laura Spencer and husband Tim and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Marianne Tucker in 2017 and stepson Michael Morris in 2006.
