Phyllis Bray (Gordon)
Auburn – Phyllis I. (Gordon) Bray, 88, a resident of Turner, passed away Sunday, April 8th at Clover Manor in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. She was born July 2, 1929 in Leeds, the daughter of Maurice Elbridge Gordon and Grace (Carver) Gordon. She attended in Livermore and was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner. Phyllis worked as a secretary for Department of Health and Human Services. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, and other crafts. Phyllis also loved to read. She is survived by her children, George A. Bray III and his wife Diane of Hartford, Debra L. Bray of Ft. Pierce, FL., Laurie J. Bray of Reno, NV., Julie A. Bray of Lewiston and Michael G. Bray of Berlin, NH., 2 granddaughters, Stephanie L. Downey and her husband Bill of Ft. Pierce, FL. and Amanda K. Bray and companion Nate Cote of Auburn, 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Abigail of FL., and Bradford of Auburn, her sisters, Theresa A. Gordon of Portland and Maureen Williams and her husband Jim of Lisbon. Her family would like to thank the staff at Clover Health Care for caring for her for the past 2 years and for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their care over the last few weeks.
