Obituary for Carole B. Picard (Belanger)
Augusta – Carole B. Picard, 69, a resident of Jay, passed away Monday, October 23rd at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, with her family by her side, following a brief illness. She was born January 4, 1948 in Sainte-Aurélie, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Lionel Belanger and Marie (Bussiere) Belanger. Carole was a graduate of Winslow High School. On November 23, 1979 she married Francis Picard of Jay. She worked in banking at the Federal Bank in Waterville and Franklin Savings in Jay as a loan officer. She retired in 2010. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the Rotary Club and organized the annual Rotary Car Show. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch and collecting antiques. She is survived her husband Francis Picard of Jay, her daughter, Michelle Rose and her husband John of Mustang, Oklahoma, three sons, Daniel Picard of Florida, Dana Picard of Pittsfield, and Lawrence Picard of Auburn, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Roxane Smith of San Diego, CA., and Andrea Withers and her husband Shawn of Scarborough, her niece, Emmie Denicholis and her husband David of San Diego, CA., and her beloved dog, Starlight.
